The President & CEO of The Lamson Group is Ed Walsh. Ed founded The Lamson Group in 2004 after a very successful thirty-five year career in engineering and construction. Prior to founding The Lamson Group, Ed successfully managed regional construction operations with an ENR 400 contractor and global organizations, garnering expertise in marine power systems, ship construction, power generation, cement, pulp & paper, transportation and heavy industrial construction. A graduate of AGC’s Advanced Management Program, he has extensive senior-level operational experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Engineering from Maine Maritime Academy, and is a licensed Chief Engineer in the U.S. Merchant Marines.

The name Lamson was chosen in honor of Ed’s father Bill Walsh who served onboard the USS Lamson during World War II. The Lamson received five battle stars for World War II service in the South Pacific.
